Although a video can be shared when content-sharing a user’s screen, due to the limited frame-rate of content sharing, the video will appear un-smooth/jerky to participants on the call. Audio will also not be transmitted when content sharing your screen.
NOTE: If using a Polycom Group Series endpoint (or similar video room system), one option is to connect a laptop to one of the inputs, and configure this input as camera/video type (as opposed to input). This will allow the laptop display to be transmitted across the video stream (as opposed to the content stream), and be shared at a higher bitrate and frame-rate with the other participants. Please reference your endpoint documentation for support and configuration steps to do this.
