ARRA is the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009
- The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) is an economic stimulus bill created to help the United States economy recover from an economic downturn that began in late 2007. Congress enacted ARRA February 17, 2009. ARRA allocates $787 billion to fund tax cuts and supplements to social welfare programs as well as increased spending for education, health care, infrastructure and the energy sector.
- As it concerns Pragmatic and the RP1Cloud service, there is no action required and nothing to be concerned about whatsoever. ARRA is not a certification nor any form of compliance we need to be worried about. The only relevance it carries which is of passing interest to us is that the HITECH Act was signed into law as part of ARRA and HITECH is related to HIPAA. Read our article about HITECH here.
